Inauguration Ceremony of 2021 China-CEEC Children's Environmental Painting Online Exhibition held in Beijing

On April 20, 2021, Inauguration Ceremony of 2021 China-CEEC Children's Environmental Painting Online Exhibition was held together with China-CEEC Cooperation's Year of Green Development and Environmental Protection in the Ministry of Ecology & Environment of People's Republic of China. The Summit of China and Central and Eastern European Countries formulated the 2021 Cooperation between China and CEEC Beijing List of Activities on February 9, 2021, according to which the year of 2021 was designated as the China-CEEC Cooperation's Year of Green Development and Environmental Protection and the participants supported organizing a children's painting online exhibition with the theme of environmental protection.

Party Secretary of the Ministry of Ecology and Environment Sun Jinlong attended the event and delivered a keynote speech, Vice Minister of Foreign Affairs and Secretary General of the Secretariat of China-CEEC Cooperation Qin Gang addressed the event. Director of the Center Qiao Chuan addressed in addition to releasing annual activity plan for the painting exhibition . Representatives from the embassies of Central and Eastern European countries including Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, the Czech Republic and Montenegro, and representatives from the embassies of observer countries such as Austria, Belarus, and Switzerland participated in the event.

Environmental cooperation has always been one of the focuses within China-CEEC cooperation mechanism. This painting exhibition aims to promote awareness of respecting, conforming to and protecting nature among people, especially youth, of China and CEEC.
